Did you know….
- that the U.S. Commission on Presidential Debates is a private corporation?
- that they have purposely set out to keep viable, legitimate candidates out of the U.S. presidential debates?
- that they are run by the Democratic and Republican parties?
Take a look at this video by Manila Ryce/John Harrison which explains things well:
Then, call the Commission on Presidential Debates at 202-872-1020 to tell them to include in the debate Ralph Nader and any other candidate polling at 5% and higher. We need intelligent and REAL debate on real issues!
Then, contact the Obama (866) 675-2008 and McCain (703) 418-2008 Campaigns to pressure them to include Nader and others. Also call or write Google (650) 253-0000, YouTube, CNN and other sites to “tell them you want ‘open debates’ where any candidate polling at 5% or higher is allowed to participate and given equal-time to speak.” – from Manila Ryce/John Harrison an-appeal-to-democrats-and-republicans-%e2%80%93-open-the-debates
It’s time to go beyond this 2-party system, and start discussing poverty, health care, climate change and renewable energies, agriculture and subsidies, education, civil liberties, getting out of Iraq, corporate welfare, and the take-over of the U.S. by special interest groups.
